Faith and Chips & Crusaders vs. Blues Rugby Game

Faith and Chips

After a team day where we had adoration, shared Glory stories, and had touch affirmation; Talia, Peter, Liam and I joined some students at CCC for mass. We provided music (‘Shine Jesus Shine’ and ‘Ka Waiata’), and afterwards had fish and chips with them, which was a great chance for relational ministry; before heading to the Crusaders rugby game. - Teresa

Highlight

Liam: Telling the seniors more about Mission Team and what we do, and how to get more participation from their houses, and being able to share some of what we have learnt on Mission Team.

Crusaders vs. Blues Rugby Game

I come from a place where American football is everything to them. The Mission Team had a wonderful opportunity to experience a Crusader's game in the stands with some of the Catholic Cathedral College students. It was so cool. All the same vibes that you would experience at a football game were the same vibes that were at the rugby game; huge crowds, home team advantage, stadium lights, and lots of noise. As the game began, people explained to me what was happening. All the excitement was so much fun! We met new people and some of the Crusader players. I cannot wait until the next game. Oh and by the way, the Crusaders won! - Samantha

Highlights

Liam and Talia: sitting next to a German traveler who was on his own. Talia got to talk about #vanlife and Liam got to explain the rules of the rugby game, a great passion of his. Oh and half way through the game Talia decided to start cheering on the Crusaders. LOL

Peter: Crusaders comeback in the second half.
